The AI Action Plan
A written plan that maps your biggest time drains to specific AI recommendations. Yours to keep. No software to buy, no obligation to continue.
The Primary Deliverable
What the AI Action Plan Actually Is
Most AI consulting engagements end with a vague conversation and a follow-up email you never open. The AI Action Plan is different. It is a written document you walk away with after our work together.
It covers the specific parts of your business where time is being lost, and it maps each one to a practical AI recommendation — in the order you should tackle them. Not a list of tools. Not a strategy overview. A prioritized, actionable plan written for your business based on how it actually runs.
The plan is yours to keep. You can work through it on your own, tackle it session by session with me, or hand it to someone else. There is no requirement to continue after you have it.
What You Walk Away With
What the Plan Covers
Every plan is different because every business is different. But the structure is consistent. Here is what a finished AI Action Plan includes.
- → Where your time is going. A plain-language breakdown of the repetitive tasks that are costing you the most time each week, based on what you told me during our session.
- → Specific recommendations, in priority order. Each recommendation addresses one friction point. It tells you what the problem is, what to do about it, and why that tool or approach fits your situation.
- → Tool recommendations with context. When a tool is the right answer, it is named, linked, and explained. You know what it costs, what it fixes, and where to start.
- → What to do first. The plan closes with a numbered priority list. You do not have to figure out where to start. It is already decided.
- → What is already working. The plan is not a list of problems. It includes what your business is doing well, so you know what to leave alone.
Not a Sales Funnel
How This Is Different From a Vendor's Roadmap
The AI Action Plan:
- Written for your business specifically
- Recommends the tool that fits, not the tool that pays a commission
- Yours to keep regardless of what you do next
- No obligation to buy anything after you receive it
- Problem first, tool second — always
- Prepared by one person who worked directly with you
A vendor's roadmap:
- Designed to sell you a platform or implementation package
- Recommends tools the vendor resells or is affiliated with
- Assumes you will continue as a paying client
- Generic enough to apply to any business
- Tool first, problem second
- Produced by a team you never met
I don't sell software, I don't resell platforms, and I have no financial stake in what you choose. That is the only way a plan like this can be honest.
What It Looks Like in Practice
A Real Example From a Local Service Business
A property maintenance company in Bradenton was handling roughly twenty quote requests a week. Each one was written from scratch. Fifteen to twenty minutes per estimate. That added up to nearly six hours a week on quoting alone — before accounting for manual invoicing, text-thread job coordination, and follow-up on unpaid invoices.
- → The plan identified the quoting problem first and recommended estimate templates in QuickBooks — already in use, just not set up for the job types they were running.
- → It flagged the missing Google Business Profile as a second priority — free to fix, immediate impact on how the business appears when someone searches for their services.
- → It recommended response templates for the five most common incoming questions — nothing to buy, nothing to install, built in thirty minutes.
Eight recommendations total, organized by priority. The first three cost nothing and could be done the same week. That is what a practical plan looks like.
Is This a Good Fit?
Who the AI Action Plan Is Built For
This works best for small business owners who want a clear answer before they commit to anything. If you are not sure whether AI makes sense for your business, this is the right place to start.
- → Service-based businesses in Manatee and Sarasota County that are losing time to repetitive admin, email, scheduling, or follow-up.
- → Solo operators and small teams who want to know exactly what to do before spending any money on software or tools.
- → Business owners who have already been pitched by an automation company or software vendor and want an honest second opinion before committing.
- → Anyone who wants something in writing — not a verbal summary, not a follow-up email, but an actual document that tells them what to do and why.
Simple. No Surprises.
How the Process Works
The plan comes out of a real conversation about your business. I do not produce it from a template or a questionnaire. Here is how it works from start to finish.
Free Clarity Call
We start with a 15 to 20 minute call. You tell me how your business runs, where time is going, and what feels like it takes longer than it should. I listen and ask questions. No pitch, no presentation. If AI does not make sense for your situation, I will say so on this call.
Working Session
If we move forward, we schedule a working session. I ask deeper questions about the specific tasks that came up on the clarity call. I look at how your current tools and processes are set up. I take notes on everything that is repetitive, manual, or taking more time than it should.
The Plan Is Written
After the session, I write the AI Action Plan. It is specific to your business, organized by priority, and written in plain language. No jargon, no filler. I cover what the problem is, what to do about it, and where to start. You receive the finished document.
The Plan Is Yours
You keep the plan regardless of what comes next. Work through it on your own, tackle it with me session by session, or hand it to someone else entirely. There is no follow-on contract and no pressure to continue. The plan is the deliverable. Everything else is up to you.
One Person, Accountable for the Work
Why Work With Gagne Marketing
I'm Sean Gagne. I run Gagne Marketing as a one-person operation out of Bradenton. I've been working with small businesses in Manatee and Sarasota County for more than 25 years.
The AI Action Plan came out of a simple problem I kept running into: business owners were getting pitched complex systems and expensive software before anyone had taken the time to figure out what they actually needed. The plan is my answer to that. It puts the honest assessment in writing before any money changes hands.
I don't sell software. I don't have affiliate relationships with platforms. When I recommend a tool, it is because it fits the business, not because it pays me to recommend it. That is the only way this works.
Quick Answers
AI Action Plan FAQs
How long is the AI Action Plan?
Most plans run four to seven pages. The goal is to cover what matters without padding it. A focused four-page plan is more useful than a ten-page document with filler.
Do I have to keep working with you after I receive the plan?
No. The plan is the deliverable. You can work through it entirely on your own. If you want help implementing something or want to tackle another area later, we can schedule additional sessions, but nothing is automatic and nothing is required.
How is this different from what an automation company offers?
An automation company starts with the tools they sell and works backward to justify them. I start with your business and work forward to whatever makes sense for your situation. I don't sell software, so I have no reason to recommend something that does not fit. For more on how I approach this, see AI consulting for Manatee County businesses.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Mostly local service businesses in Manatee and Sarasota County. Contractors, solo operators, small offices, and anyone who is running a real business and losing time to repetitive manual work. I don't work with enterprise companies or ecommerce businesses.
How do I get started?
Book a free clarity call. Tell me about your business and where time is going. I'll give you an honest read on whether an AI Action Plan makes sense for your situation. No pressure to move forward after the call.
